I am sitting here on this 9th day of September and I am quietly reflecting on the past 21 years of my life since that horrible day. The day no one who is alive today will ever forget where they were or what they were doing. For me I was 11 days out of the Army and the 82nd Airborne. I was down near the South Eastern town of Shallotte here in North Carolina. Being fresh out of the Army and learning a new trade with my good Friend Earl Goesswein working on splicing cable TV, we were shocked when we got the call to get the cable back up and running at all costs! POST HASTE!!! We had no idea what was going on…….. Earl, being a from Long Island, liked listening to Howard Stern.. Stern being right there in NYC had a first row seat to the cowardly attack on one of the US’s largest cities… I tuned in and was shocked and appalled at what was happening to the nation we all LOVE!! (and if you don’t you are welcome to leave!!!) So much changed that day….. Now here 20 plus years later it seems many have forgotten and some even say we deserve what we got…… I can’t stand where we are going in this nation and I fear for the future of our children! I can only hope that GOD will watch over them….. Pray every day…..
PS: 23
The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not [a]want.
2 He makes me to lie down in [b]green pastures;
He leads me beside the [c]still waters.
3 He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will [d]dwell in the house of the Lord
[e]Forever.
AMEN!!!
